Established in 1984, Castle Oaks Productions started as a private facility originally located in Calabasas, CA.
with the intentions of creating an independent recording studio with a character and quality unlike any other in Los Angeles.
Castle Oaks Productions opened Studio A to its previous clientele in 1987 which sparked a new momentum of change and growth for the facility. 24 years and 5 studios later we are still functioning entirely off of word of mouth from our loyal clientele.
Since then we have proudly evolved into a facility that has contributed to the Grammy, Academy, and Emmy Awards of many of our long-term clients be it in World Music,Film, Pop or Jazz. We have always embraced and adopted countless new technologies and our core philosophy is working directly with the independent spirit of our diverse clientele.
It is our first motivation to consistently offer our clients the best of all worlds in sound: high sample rates (all rooms support 192k), tube microphones(From AKG to RCA), and a meticulously maintained vintage Neve 8038 console with flying faders for a front end. We invite you to come and experience what makes us completely different from how the studio’s “in town” are doing it and our much more artist friendly rates!
